Get Your Puppy Off on the Right Paw!

Raising a puppy is one of the most rewarding – and challenging – things you’ll ever do.  Along with the big eyes and puppy breath comes housetraining, crate training, socialization, and typical puppy behaviors like chewing, biting, and jumping. And it’s all up to you to make sure they get started on the right paw.

But you don’t have to go it alone! Wholistic Hound’s puppy classes and private lessons give you everything you need to set your puppy up for a lifetime of success. In addition to basic skills, manners, and housetraining, your puppy will also receive critical early socialization to people, places, and other dogs, helping her to gain confidence in the world around her. By laying a strong foundation now, you’ll enjoy a happy, healthy, well-adjusted, and well-behaved dog that’s a joy to live with for years to come!

Puppy behavior is so cute, until it’s not. Early training and socialization is a critical component to raising a smart and confident puppy that is secure in their environment, with the intention of lessening the likelihood of behavioral concerns down the road. Our puppy program helps to lay the foundation for a happy, polite, and well-adjusted dog who is a pleasure to be around.

Wholistic Hound offers both group classes and private training lessons, to fit any situation or lifestyle. Keep reading to learn more!

Required Vaccinations: For Puppy classes, puppies must be up-to-date for their age, with at least the first set of DHLPP shots, usually given between 6-8 weeks of age, and negative fecal test.  Because socialization is so time-sensitive, we do not usually recommend waiting to begin puppy class until the whole series of puppy shots are complete. For all other classes dogs must have the full sequence of DHLPP (usually an annual booster for adult dogs) or titers and the Rabies vaccine. Please submit vaccination records electronically if possible.
